Tui-Na—Chinese Medical Massage & Bodywork

Tui-Na massage is an effective, non-invasive, hands-on therapy originated in China.  It was recorded in the Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine in 2300 B.C. as one of the five major therapies of the time.  Tui-Na has been more developed and popular in China and around the world.  Currently Tui-Na is taught as a required subject in the major traditional Chinese medical schools.

Tui-Na uses the traditional Chinese medical therapy of channels or meridians (or pathways) to regulate Qi (Blood and Viscera), the function of channels and collaterals (Yin and Yang), and psychological, physiological, and physical balance.

Traditional Chinese medical doctors use their hands-on techniques and energy to manipulate patient’s skin, soft tissue, tendons, and joints along with meridians (Qi channels) and acupuncture points in order to heal the patient’s health problems and make patient’s overall balance.

Tui-Na indications:

·         Pain management (muscles, neck shoulders, lower back, sciatica and chronic arthritis, migraine)

·         Stress, insomnia, and facial paralysis

·         Habitual constipation, indigestion, gastroptosis, etc.
