This workshop combines Tai-Ji (also called Tai-Chi) basic philosophy, Tai-Ji-Quan movements, and massage techniques together as one excellent harmonic hands-on art.  An understanding of Yin-Yang changes theory, applying the conservative body mechanics, practicing the flow and continuing movements, breathing techniques and transferring energy plus your body work experience will allow you to be a totally balanced and advanced massage therapist. 

Background: 

He started with Sports Massage and has been involved in Wushu, Tai-Ji-Quan, Qi-Gong exercises, Tui-Na massage, reflexology, Swedish and sports massage as an instructor, professor, and therapist ever since 1973. He also has experience working for the hospitals and research agencies as a massage and exercise therapist in China and USA. He started practice in Memphis, TN since 1995.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

v      Understand the basic principles of Yin-Yang changes and the Five Elements

v      Use efficient and effective body mechanics for your body work (including standing, moving, changing posture and weight, center of gravity and energy center?#060;i>Dan-Tian)

v      Learn and practice how to merge Tai-Ji-Quan movements into massage movements

v      Use breathing techniques with the massage movements

v      Practice Qi ( pronounced Chi meaning the energy) transfer 

v      Improve your rhythm with your body work 

v      Eliminate the bad Qi 

v      Use techniques to relax yourself after your body work 

v      Practice a short Tai-Ji-Quan form to train yourself as a self-care and healing exercise

This workshop is applying for NCBTMB Category-A class for 12.5 Continuing Education credit hours.
